About

Hail, fellow.

  • What is Sacra Press?

Sacra Press is an eclectic book publishing company established in 2023, with a flexible focus upon Reformed, right-wing, and classic books.

  • Define "Reformed, right-wing, and classic"

Reformed: (1) works and topics concerning the Protestant Reformation, including its precursors, Reformers, and heirs, or (2) the broader Reformed tradition, not just theological but methodological, philosophical, historical, and pedagogical.

Right-wing: a religious, social, and political commitment that is definitively illiberal, traditional, hierarchical, patriarchal, inegalitarian, natural, orderly, and unashamed to love one's own people, place, and heritage.

Classic: (1) works and topics that are considered classics of the Christian West, (2) older books that have been neglected, or (3) books that are deemed important and of enduring worth.

  • What is your mission?

To renew the Christian West by publishing the sacred truth for a new day.

  • What do you believe?

The founder describes himself as a Reformed Catholic and a Magisterial Congregationalist. The former concerns (1) typical dogmas, along with (2) posture and relation to the wider historical church; the latter concerns more niche considerations such as politics and polity. He is in large agreement with the Westminster Standards. The Westminster Creed is a fair summary of his beliefs.

  • What makes you different?

    (1) The chief focus of Sacra Press, at least to start, is on authors, works, and topics that are often either unaddressed, unknown, or neglected in our day.

    (2) The Sponsor option (coming soon) affords us two boons: (i) it offers a way for customers to make a more regular financial commitment, in order to demonstrate support for the work and be rewarded for their investment; and (ii) it secures a secondary, integrated  channel of income, thus better enabling us to labor and provide greater value for all.

    (3) Sacra Press is committed to delivering the full and unmolested work of the past to you. This means, unlike some modern publishers, we do not cut out things that are taboo or spicy. We leave them be, even if considered heresy to modern Liberal social dogma. Any editing performed is chiefly for navigational and aesthetical purposes.

    (4) Sacra Press is catholic in its publishing aims, and thus not beholden to one single theological tradition. This means we are willing to publish the Reformed, Puritans, Presbyterians, Congregationalists, Anglicans, Baptists, Lutherans, and even Papists or Pagans.

    (5) Sacra Press aims to be comprehensive in the topics it publishes. Life is more than theology, and theology is more than personal sanctification or private piety. So we plan to publish books on history, biography, philosophy, and education, along with works on political theology, magistracy, martial and military interests, and other topics.
