How old is the Christian faith?
Henry Bullinger, the forgotten Swiss Reformer, asks and answers this question in The Old Faith—
a book largely born of pastoral concerns, namely to establish the saints against the false claims that their religion is novel. The answer, then, to the question is this: Christianity is the most ancient religion. Hence the reader will find Bullinger argue that Christ was set forth beginning from Genesis forward. Bullinger lays an initial foundation and then advances piece by piece to form the full structure. In support of his point, he marshals:

The Patriarchs
Moses and the law
The Kings and people of Israel
The Prophets and the Apostles
